Egger Tromba da Caccia - Reiche Trumpet

$ 3,775.00

The bell flare of this instrument is copied after the Corno da Caccia by Johann Wilhelm Haas, Nürnberg 1688, now in the Trumpet Museum at Bad Säckingen, Germany. The remaining measurements have been computer-simulated after the well-known portrait of Johann Gottfried Reiche, by Elias Gottlob Haußmann, 1727.

In order to come as close as possible to the sound of historical instruments, we make the tromba according to traditional methods. All tubes as well as the bell of the instrument are soldered from hammered brass sheets and therefore show a soldering seam. The ferrules are engraved according to the original Haas instrument. The garland is also engraved; Haas decorations on the garland are available upon request. The tromba is burnished by hand according to historical methods before it is polished.

The Tromba da Caccia comes standard with three tuning bits at 38mm, 55mm, and 75mm.
